How the Great Resignation can be an opportunity for hiring in Germany?

Great Resignation is the term coined by Economist for the employees who are quitting and seeking a change of job for various reasons, such as, flexibility, pay package, holistic well being, etc. There is a fall in the attrition rate and an ongoing fear that a sort of pent up aggression will lead to a surge in the number of resignations.

'Great Resignation' to 'Great Recruitment'

A major chunk of the talent is seeking to build an alternate career in an alternate space, organisation or wish to relocate to a different place. If we shift the perspective, this is a true opportunity for hiring an employee in Germany by rethinking their roles, careers and thus aligning their individual aspirations with the needs of the business. Thus, the ' Great Resignation' can be turned into 'Great Recruitment'.

'Great Resignation' to 'Great Attraction'

As the saying goes, someone's loss is definitely someone's gain. An employee certainly quits for a reason- a higher job role, higher designation, better pay, better growth opportunity, great learning opportunity, flexible working schedule etc. The leaders need to reflect this at the time of hiring in Germany in order to grab the new talent and even retain the disconnected employees. They need to work on providing a better work ecosystem to the potential candidates so that they are attracted to join the organisation. This can be done by having a conversation with the people of your company, getting a deep insight about their changed preferences and priorities and then preparing a tailored solution for responding to the same.

Rethinking on employee experience

The diverse workforce has its own perspectives about workplace working and remote set up. While there are some who thrive when people are around them, while they are others who perform better when they are alone. Thus, it is better to leave the decision to the employee about the work model that they wish to opt and work in. Employee safety and well being should be the top priority of an organisation.
